Ecotour Entrepreneurship is on the rise
While watching vacation movies at Travel Videos blog, I noticed that Eco-tourism is sort of a new trend in tourism field.

The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) with the Philippine Convention & Visitors Corp (PCVC) is inviting Filipinos to be Ecotourism Entrepreneurs. With its recently launched Grassroots Entrepreneurs for Ecotourism (GREET) Program, budding Pinoy entrepreneurs can apply for a P50,000 grant to enable them to start-up their ecotourism business.
In line with the directive of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to promote and safeguard the country’s eco-tourism sites through the provision of essential services for tourists, the Grassroots Entrepreneurs for Eco-tourism (GREET) program has been conceived to enhance the livelihood opportunities preferably for promising young entrepreneurs who can best explore the inherent tourist drawing potentials of these sites which can readily be sources of income within their respective protected areas.
Hmm…gotta think about it. I’m off to watching Halo 3 Videos though - gotta have some rest guys.
